Events

The board of trustee's prides themselves on the events of Log Lane Village. It takes a lot of dedicated planning, time, and effort to host the events that we do. The town has 6 events throughout the year dedicated to community relations for families, kids, and all residents of Log Lane Village. Our first fun event is the Easter Egg Hunt that has four age groups and thousands of eggs to stuff, hide, and find. This event is fun for us because of the joy we see in all the kids that come out to find Easter eggs. We try to get small toys and candy for eggs and have a donation from one of the local businesses that stuffs some eggs with money. Our next event is centered on community cleanup. Whether it is cleaning out old furniture, clothes, trash,  and yard debris we host town clean up in May to give residents an opportunity fo offload some of their waste in large receptacles to be hauled off to the land fill at no cost (tires are taken at a cost but no electronics TVs, pc, exc). This event is for residents of Log Lane Village only so please be prepared for Town Cleanup as it only happens one weekend a year from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. One of our smaller events is the town's participation in the 4th of July parade at the Brush Chamber of Commerce Parade every 4th of July. It's a long hot walk to throw candy to all who come to watch the parade, a county wide celebration.  We also put on a firework display of more than 25 pyrotechnical devices to light up the sky of Log Lane Village. Residents can see them from their front doors or even flock to Sunshine Park by the water tower after sunset. Our midyear event is the town's Birthday BBQ and or National Night out. This BBQ is such a special celebration to us as we come together as a community to barbeque hamburgers and hotdogs for our citizens. We have bounce houses, games, and activities for families such as a dunk tank and mini golf to  celebrate our municipal corporation from back in 1956. This event also show cases our appreciation to our local police department as they participate in the games and activities with our citizens. The next big event is Fall Festival and Car show usually towards the end of summer. The fall festival is an opportunity for local vendors/creators of crafts, food, trinkets, and other specialties to show case and sell their products for two days at Sunshine Park in Log Lane Village. This festival can host as many vendors as we can fit in the area including food trucks, bands, and car show participants lined up on Birch Street in front of the water tower. We have inflatable games, music, go carts. and beer garden available for 2 days sunup to sundown. We love this event because of all the diverse vendors and attendees who come out for all the fun activities. We tend to slow down after labor day and have two more events to close out the year. Our October event is Trunk or Treat usually the weekend of Halloween for families to trick or treat car to car in Log Lane Village. This event is hosted at one of our open buildings and have many donations from businesses and trustee's decorating their vehicles to participate in the event. We recently sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest last year that we will be doing again this year for prizes. We also hope to have a haunted house like in previous years and are hoping we get some volunteers for that. Our last event of the year is our favorite event as it is our Log Lane Village Kid's Christmas Party. The board or trustee's and employees come together to shop, wrap, decorate, and host a fun afternoon Christmas party for the children of Log Lane Village. This event requires lots of details and planning as we shop specifically for each child registered with the town.  There is singing, dancing, games, and of course Santa in attendance. We truly value the time we get as a community to just come together and have fun. We are always needing volunteers and donations to put on our events. If you are interested in either role please reach out to communityofloglanevillage@townofllv.com.
